Use DIGIFLOP

Digiflop is a easy way to start a PC based APRS digipeater using DIGI_NED.

Generally DIGI_NED uses MS DOS as a Operating System (OS) when Linux is not used. But the knowledge of setting up a MS DOS like OS on a (obsolete) PC is decreasing due to the use of OS like windows XP and Vista which is generally used by the public.

To overcome this problem and to make the use of DIGI_NED simpler Henk, PE1DNN, created 'DIGIFLOP'. Digiflop is a easy way to start a PC based APRS digipeater using DIGI_NED. it takes less than 10 minutes to format a floppy, extract the disk image in DIGIFLOP to the floppy and configure it.

This 'how to' is created to prepare you before you start using DIGIFLOP, preview the steps, and inform you about the little problems you might run in to after you have initially used DIGIFLOP.
This 'how to' provides a 'best practise' when using DIGIFLOP.
